![]() ![]() You can finally play Dune 2000 in hi-res, which makes selecting units and pending to the map a lot easier. The patch is finally ready, and the bugs like crashes in starport menu are gone now. Please read the readme files carefully, and also the notes below. Only for Atreides, Harkonnen and Ordos currently, but this can probably easily be adjusted for other sides.ĭownload D2kx Memory Tool V1.2 (1119 downloads) Version 1.2 brings liorlevi99 list with lots of building time settings.Version 1.1 brings production queue memory addresses shipped with the program (as well as instant atreides build example).Key- and Memory trigger files also save memory addresses, they perhaps also need fixing. If you did and get an error, open the file with a text editor (Notepad++ for example) and remove them. Also share new memory addresses that can be added to the program. Post questions and suggestions in this topic. Please explore and experiment to your heart’s content. In mission 6, for example, change diplomacy based on any trigger you want. In mission 9, for example, give spice automatically to your ally if it goes below a certain value.Jump between (player) sides with the numpad keys.Display debug information or increase spice amount with one key press. But also change memory based on other memory addresses to create unique mods! Other example: I've noticed that American McGee's Alice (which has 3D sound) uses the same drivers/sound engine as Medal of Honor: Allied Assault with addons (which doesn't have 3D sound).Create hotkeys for spice, debugging, starport units and many many more. ![]() When a game has GUS missing, you could sometimes replace the drivers using those from a newer game to gain support. How about a dedicated thread to such tweaks? Of course early games use hardcoded ways to talk to sound card, however later ones use HMI or Miles Sound System. While I'm reserved towards most mods and hacks, I find sound tweaks harmless and useful. ![]() ![]() Maybe I'm not using it properly but it seems that the game loads MT-32 instrument patches, something that DOSBOX already emulate. Not sure how this GUS patch is useful today (yes, I had GUS back then, believe it or not! it was Windows that effectively killed this card). Under DOSBOX I found SoundBlaster Pro + Sound Canvas the most pleasing combination. That setup file may be the most useful thing for the average user with patched game. ![]()
